After growing up in northeastern Missouri, Dr. Jacobs studied at the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine and earned a combined B.L.A. and M.D. between 2003-2009. She considers her first exposure to pediatric medicine at Children’s Mercy Hospital, and the time she spent treating children in a rural West African hospital, to be the highlights of her time in medical school.
Dr. Jacobs has spent the last three years in pediatric training at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, learning from the renowned pediatricians and subspecialists at the Washington University School of Medicine. With exposure to a vast patient population and a variety of patient care settings, her affinity for continuity of care was reinforced.

Dr. Jacobs was drawn to pediatrics because of the uniqueness of each age and stage in childrens’ lives, and the great potential that exists from positive intervention at each step in the journey. She and her husband, Brouck, a native Floridian, are looking forward to making their home here and getting to know the families of the Sandhills area.
